FAQs

If your question isn’t covered here feel free to get in-touch.

For Clients

What kind of organisations do you work with?

We work with a wide range of businesses, brands, and non-profits – from small local organisations to large national/international companies.

Do I need to have a brief to get started?

No, we often help clients define and write the creative brief or research goals. All we need to get started is an outline of the issue, or opportunity, you want to explore.

What type of projects do you do?

We have completed projects focussed on research into an audience, or issue and concept development, through to full creative campaign strategy, execution, and production.

How involved are the faculty team in projects?

Our academic team are closely involved throughout each project, from shaping the brief and guiding the creative process, to managing delivery and production.

How are the students involved in projects?

Student involvement depends on the nature of your project. Our founder Lucy has written about the different levels of student involvement available.

Can I meet the faculty team before starting a project?

Yes, we always arrange an initial meeting, either in person or online, to discuss your goals and explore how we can help. You can book a chat using the form above.

How much will it cost?

Our rates vary depending on the scope, duration, and level of student involvement. All our work is costed in line with professional standards. We’re happy to provide a clear estimate once we understand your needs.

For Students

What kind of projects can I work on?

Projects vary but most of our work is developing research, campaign ideas and campaign elements across different media. Projects often focus on behaviour-change objectives linked to social and environmental issues.

Will I get paid?

Yes, Be Good was founded with the aim of providing paid work experience for students. The precise rates and how you get paid are all specified at the start of the project.

Do I need previous experience to take part?

Be Good projects are usually open to second and third year students, so you’ll have at least one year of study experience before taking part. What we look for above all is strong skills in creativity, organisation, and a ‘can do’ attitude.

How are projects assessed?

When briefs are integrated into the curriculum module leaders will let you know how the work is assessed. We also run projects outside of the curriculum which can contribute to portfolio development but are not graded.

Do we own the ideas we create?

Intellectual property is agreed on a project-by-project basis. In many cases, students retain rights to include their work in portfolios, while clients have the rights to use ideas for future campaigns and communications.

What support is available during a project?

You’ll have access to academic mentors, technical staff, and professional-standard facilities. Project leads ensure teams stay on track and that workloads remain manageable.

How much time do I need to commit?

That depends on the project scope. Short projects may run over a week or two, while larger live briefs can span a month or more. You’ll always be briefed on time expectations up front.
