Who is Be Good?

Founded within Falmouth University, Be Good blends research, behavioural insights and student creativity to tackle communication challenges for brands and non-profits.

Applying academic research and insights to real-world challenges

A bit of history

Be Good was founded in 2022 by Lucy Cokes, who developed our innovative agency within a university model. Lucy’s vision was to offer creative consultancy services to businesses and non-profits, while using their live briefs to create paid, real-world work opportunities for students.

Equitable learning

Live briefs are often unpaid add-ons to degree course timetables, excluding students with part-time jobs or caring roles. To tackle this, Be Good pioneered a fairer approach, integrating paid live briefs into the curriculum to make work-based learning more accessible.

Empowering students

Since launching Be Good, we’ve provided over 35 paid work opportunities for students. We’ve seen first-hand how working with real clients and problems can be truly transformative – helping learners build confidence, motivation and vital employability skills.

“I would say that working with Be Good was one of the most valuable experiences I've had through my whole year here at university. The project taught me pitching skills, really enhanced my ability to collaborate and problem solve, as well as making me feel really positive and motivated about my work.“
